Thrush and White Line Disease Treatment

The suspected causes of white line disease, also referred to in the early stages as seedy toe, are primarily mechanical stress created by excessive toe length, laminitis,
poor health management and/or poor hoof health, which predisposes the hoof to bacterial infection.
Removal of the affected tissue, use of Sound Shot™ anti-fungal spray to the infected tissue and protection/support with Hoof-it® II and
balanced shoeing appears to be the most effective treatment.
HOOF-it® Sound Shot™ Directions:
1) Clean sole surface and frog area with a wire brush until all debris is removed paying close attention to the infected area.
2) Hold Sound Shot 4-5 inches from the foot and apply to the white line and frog.
3) For advanced cases apply 4-5 times per week. If your horse has an extreme case, have your farrier remove affected tissue, apply Sound Shot™,
and HOOF-it® II acrylic for protection.
For thrush infections:
Follow steps 1 and 2 - two to three times per week as needed.
Sound Shot™ can be used as a maintenance tool to prevent thrush and white line hoofwall separation by following steps 1 and 2, at least twice a week.
